MVPA OktoberFest – Saturday October 19th, 2024, 4-9pm

Come celebrate at our MVPA Family Oktoberfest with our famed Chili Cookoff, a Beer Tasting, Kids Bake-Off Competition and Live Music from the 70s Band “Lachenkey”!

The park opens at 4pm and the playground will be open during the party, but please continue to follow the park safety rules. Also, don’t forget to bring your fishing rods as it will be a great time to get one last catch!

Beer Tasting – 4:30pm
Call all Beer Lovers! A beer tasting will start at 4:30pm in the Pavilion. If you are one of MVPA Home Brew Masters, we would love to sample of your home-made beverage! Otherwise, please bring your favorite beer or a unique one to share with your MVPA friends.

For those who not participating in the tasting, please bring your own beverages to enjoy… thank you!
Donations of non-alcoholic beverages for the youngsters is also appreciated.

Chili Cookoff – 5pm
For all MVPA chefs who would like to participate in the Chili Cookoff, please bring your crockpot of Chili to the Pavilion between 4-5pm. Judging will start at 5pm and serving will start after the judging is done. Winners will receive prizes. If you don’t a bring Chili, we ask that you bring an appetizer or side dish to share.

Kids Bake-Off Competition – 5:30pm
It’s our second Spooktacular “Children’s Dessert Competition”. Kids 18 & under, please bring a homemade Halloween or special Fall dessert for this competition. Starting at 5:30pm, our Judges will pick the best decorated and best tasting desserts. Winners will be selected from different age groups and will also receive prizes. After the judging is done, everyone can enjoy the yummy treats!

Live Music – 6-8pm
And don’t forget to bring your lawn chairs or blankets, because from 6-8pm, you’ll want to enjoy the band “Lachenkey” performing some of the greatest hits from the 70s.
